Job Description

UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Telecom Engineer opportunity   to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.

Work Location:  Greenville, SC
Telecom Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.
  • Execute tasks associated with the preparation, modification, and review of all types of communication system design/construction drawings, including microwave, telephone data, system control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile radio, fire alarm, microwave radio, security and video.
  • Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks.
  • Prepare studies, analyses, and reports as required.
  • Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates.
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S. with a minimum of ten (10) or more years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
  • Must have communications engineering design.
  • Working knowledge of Federal (including DOE Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable
