Upper Park Clothing in Chico, CA is looking for an experienced seamstress to join our thread department

Responsibilities

• Execute workorders to specifications . Using various types of industrial sewing and embroidery machines.
• Maintaining Equipment and Tools : Regularly maintaining embroidery machines and tools, ensuring they are in good working order to produce precise and consistent results.

Qualifications

• Sewing Skills : Proficiency in both hand-sewing and using sewing machines for a variety of tasks, such as garment construction, alterations, and repairs.
• Attention to Detail : Precision and accuracy in stitching, hemming, and adding finishing touches.
• Creativity and Problem-Solving : Ability to creatively solve issues related to garment alterations, repairs, and custom designs.
• Knowledge of Fabrics and Threads : Understanding different types of fabrics, threads, needles, and stabilizers, and how they interact to create durable and high-quality embroidery.
• Proficiency in Embroidery Techniques : Understanding and ability to perform various embroidery stitches, such as satin stitch, chain stitch, and cross-stitch, whether by hand or using embroidery machines.
