Sponsorship of undergraduate research projects is expected; opportunities for course release may be earned through this mentorship ( Interested candidates may be able to teach in the university’s First Year Program, our residential living/learning program (). Additionally, numerous other opportunities exist to mentor undergraduates, both within and outside the department, including working with students in the CSTEP and McNair Scholars programs ( Approximately 65-85 students choose to declare a psychology major each year. We also co-sponsor a Neuroscience Major with our Biology Department.
The successful candidate will join a department of 12 full-time faculty members and two academic support people who are passionate about supporting our liberal arts curriculum through diverse and inclusive pedagogies and scholarly agendas. Applicants should have their Ph.D. in clinical and/or counseling psychology or a related field by August 15, 2025, but ABD candidates may be considered. A candidate with a PhD is preferred, but we will consider candidates with an EDD or PsyD who meet the needs of our students. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship and indicate strong commitment to undergraduate education at a liberal arts college.
