Requirements of the Vascular Surgeon:
?Must have an active NY State License
?Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible

Responsibilities of the Vascular Surgeon:
?Evaluate patient histories and schedule consultations before surgeries.
?Liaise with other physicians and perform the relevant tests before the surgery.
?Treat conditions related to the veins, arteries, and other blood vessels.
?Perform surgeries to repair veins and arteries and to treat other vascular trauma.
?Consult with physicians and refer patients to other specialists if required.
?Determine all risks associated with the surgery and clearly outline them for the patient.
?Address all patient concerns and answer their questions as accurately as possible.
?Keep abreast of advancements in vascular surgery as well as the broader medical field.
?Schedule follow-ups to monitor patients well-being and to advise them on suitable aftercare measures and medication they might require.
