Job Title: SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE Segmentation Expert (Retail/Fashion)

Role Summary:

The SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE Segmentation Expert will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Segmentation functionality in a fast-paced, live environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, IT), this consultant will drive best practices for inventory segmentation, allocation, and prioritization, ensuring the new processes align with evolving business requirements in retail and fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

Segmentation Blueprint & Design

o Analyze existing channel and inventory processes, including e-commerce, retail, wholesale, and any emerging segments.

o Collaborate with business users to define segmentation use cases, data flows, and weekly or ad-hoc reallocation scenarios.

o Establish guidelines for managing and updating segment assignments in alignment with real-time or near real-time inventory insights.

Configuration & Deployment

o Configure SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE Segmentation functionalities, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

o Integrate segmentation with relevant SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP) and external tools (e.g., Toolio or equivalent planning systems).

o Set up prioritization rules for sales orders, stock transport orders, or store orders within a single segment.

Inventory Management & Data Integration

o Define integration touchpoints with third-party systems (e.g., ChannelApe, 3PLs) that may be retained or sunset.

o Facilitate data feeds to planning tools on a scheduled basis (daily, midday refresh, etc.), preserving data accuracy and synchronization.

Change Management & Reallocation

o Establish processes for reallocation of inventory among segments (e.g., moving inventory from wholesale to retail) based on changing market demands.

o Develop and validate standard use cases that trigger reallocation decisions or buffer segment scenarios.

Documentation & Stakeholder Engagement

o Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with planning, purchasing, and receiving processes.

o Document Segmentation best practices, user guides, and decision frameworks.

o Prepare and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for end users and internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

SAP Expertise:

o Demonstrated experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations, ideally RISE PCE .

o Proven track record configuring Segmentation functionalities or advanced allocation processes in a live environment.

o Familiarity with inventory planning tools and interfaces (e.g., Toolio, ChannelApe, or similar).

Retail/Fashion Domain Knowledge:

o Understanding of multi-channel retail operations (e-commerce, wholesale, retail).

o Exposure to pre-orders, drop-ship, consignment, or other specialized retail workflows.

o Ability to anticipate typical retail/fashion scenarios requiring reallocation or inter-segment transfers.

Technical & Functional Skills:

o Strong insight into integration points between SAP SD , MM , PP , and external planning or 3PL systems.

o Solid grasp of purchase order segmentation strategies, including one PO per segment vs. multiple segments per PO.

o Awareness of possible constraints in custom development or external system integrations (China sourcing, 3PL receiving, etc.).

Soft Skills & Approach:

o Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Adaptability to evolving requirements; comfortable defining "best practices" while maintaining flexibility.

o Problem-solving mindset, capable of troubleshooting and proposing creative solutions for segmentation challenges.
