Will also interact with customers, providing information and assistance regarding the title process. Title Clerk job description: Key Responsibilities: * Processing and Filing Paperwork: Handling registration paperwork, including titles and license plates, and filing relevant tax documents. * Title Transfers and Lien Releases: Managing the process of transferring vehicle ownership and ensuring liens are properly released. * Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. * Customer Service: Providing information and assistance to customers regarding title procedures and answering their questions. * Compliance: Ensuring that all processes and paperwork adhere to state and federal laws and regulations. * Verifying Information: Checking the accuracy of title applications and ensuring all information is complete. * Financial Management: Preparing payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins, as well as billing out dealer trades. * Communication: Acting as a point of contact for clients, attorneys, and government officials. * Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with changes in state and federal regulations and procedures related to vehicle titles.
