Do you have a passion for wine and creating unforgettable experiences? Join us at Keller Estate as a Tasting Room Ambassador! At Keller Estate, we pride ourselves on providing warm and knowledgeable hospitality to our guests.

When visitors arrive at our estate, they are treated to a unique tour of the grounds, winery, and cave. Our team engages with guests, introduces them to our wine club, showcases our wines, and shares the family story, the Petaluma Gap AVA, and the winemaking process behind our wines.

This full-time role is at the heart of our hospitality team and focuses on driving sales and developing outreach programs. We’re looking for a dynamic, outgoing individual with a strong background in hospitality and wine who can inspire our team and connect with guests to build brand loyalty.

Work Schedule:
The standard hours for this full-time position range from 32 to 40 hours per week.

Scheduling Requirements:
Regular schedule: Wednesday to Sunday
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

+Guest Experience: Provide exceptional experiences for winery guests, including wine tastings, tours, and special events. Greet all guests with enthusiasm and hospitality.

+Tours & Tastings: Host guided educational tours and tastings both on-site and off-site, sharing your passion for hospitality and Keller Estate wines.

+Sales Goals: Achieve sales targets by promoting wine sales, acquiring guest contact information, and converting visitors to wine club members. Utilize sales techniques to drive repeat purchases.

+Inventory & Cleanliness: Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure the cleanliness of all Tasting Room areas.

+Outreach Program: Participate in our outreach and referral program, partnering with local lodgings, transportation companies, and wineries to drive traffic and build relationships.

+Administrative Tasks: Proficiently navigates customer databases, reservation systems, and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Assist with other tasks such as administrative duties, calling club members, and supporting event coordination.

Qualifications:

+Two or more years of Sales and customer service experience in a related environment.
+Basic knowledge of California wine regions, particularly Keller Estate wines.
+Professional personal presentation.
+Strong hospitality skills with a focus on "white glove" service balanced with gracious hospitality.
+Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
+Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+Ability to learn various wine-related software (Wine Direct, Tock).
+Availability to work during hours of operations including weekends and limited weekends, evening events, and periodic holidays with advanced notice

Certifications:

TIPS (RBS) Certification
Food Handlers Certification
CA State Anti-Harassment Compliance

Compensation:

$23 to $25 per hour, based on experience

Ability to commute/relocate:
Petaluma, CA 94954: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Operation of computer and office equipment.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach, and stoop.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
Regularly works outdoors and stands for 6 hours or more, carrying and moving wine cases.
Moderate noise level.
