Job Description

Our client is a very successful brand name Resort in Orlando that everyone knows. When we say EVERYONE, we mean EVERYONE! Our client specializes in managing and owning a diverse portfolio of hospitality assets, including high-volume hotels, restaurants, private clubs, multi-family apartments, and other real estate ventures.

This role reports directly to the Property Controller and has two accounting clerk direct reports.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Manage and execute full-cycle property accounting, including journal entries and month-end closing, for a high-volume hotel, which includes 2 restaurants, 1 spa, and 1 market.
  • Reconcile and maintain POS exports, ensuring the accuracy of guest, group, and corporate billings.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, P&L reports, and variance analysis, providing valuable insights to senior leadership.
  • Perform detailed cash flow forecasting to support informed financial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with hotel operations and front office teams to ensure revenue accuracy and appropriate expense allocation.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, identifying opportunities for improving financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and relevant hospitality industry regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Experience You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CHAE certification is a plus).
  • Over 4 years of accounting experience, hospitality industry a plus!
  • Extensive background in folio accounting, revenue reconciliation, and financial reporting for hotels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PMS and POS systems, and accounting software (experience with NetSuite, Opera, or similar hospitality systems is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with hotel operations.
