Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Operations Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This role is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in financial services and investment operations who are looking to make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing client investment operations, ensuring seamless trade processing, maintaining accurate databases, and addressing client inquiries. Your expertise will help enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and oversee the distribution of Net Asset Value (NAV) by custodians, ensuring clear client communication during delays.

Maintain accurate client records and databases, keeping all information up to date.

Address client inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure client satisfaction.

Support the implementation of operational changes, including new initiatives and process improvements.

Accurately process and confirm trades, ensuring efficiency and precision.

Serve as backup support for the team leader during absences.

Enhance technical expertise and deepen understanding of market trends.

Adhere to risk escalation procedures, identifying and reporting operational issues or suspicious transactions.

Manage nightly in-kind processing while considering complex internal structures.

Communicate trade settlements efficiently with custodian providers.

What We're Looking For

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.

Experience in training and mentoring entry-level team members.

Solid understanding of financial operations and industry procedures.

Strong research skills and attention to detail.

Commitment to high-quality work with a focus on accuracy.

Experience with database management and data entry.

Strong email correspondence skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism.

Background in conducting financial audits.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and communications.

Familiarity with timekeeping software, such as 'About Time'.

A degree in Finance or a related field.

Knowledge of financial pricing models and investment strategies.

Experience in system integration and software deployment.

Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trust.

Comfort using video conferencing and remote communication tools.

Proficiency in Windows OS and related financial software.

Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in an operational role.

Ability to provide team oversight and direction.

Knowledge of backup technologies and data recovery procedures.

Experience with software and system deployments.

Familiarity with job placement procedures and strategies.

Background in recovery operations, particularly within financial services.
