ServiceNow Developer

Description:

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation. You will work with external and internal stakeholders to deliver digital transformation solutions with an emphasis on request fulfillment, automating workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs, and supporting key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.

Primary responsibilities include platform upgrades; cataloging business process flows; collaborating with the development team to propose solutions based on business needs; designing and configuring ServiceNow functions; supporting business process re-engineering; identifying trends and improving customer experience; troubleshooting and resolving problems; orchestrating and automating tasks; designing, building, and integrating ServiceNow applications; following agile development methodologies; collaborating on documentation; supporting data migration and configuration management; integrating data into CMDB; and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will also support the standup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules; create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles; enhance dashboards and scheduled reports; integrate tools with ServiceNow (such as Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc.); and coordinate and support application management.

Requirements:

Education: DevSecOps education with 4-8 years of professional experience, or 2-6 years with a Master’s degree.

Experience: 3+ years in technology infrastructure design, development, and support; 2+ years ServiceNow development experience including ServiceNow upgrades.

Skills: Excellent customer service skills; ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment; strong communication skills with the ability to present to customers and program leadership.

Preferred qualifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer; experience with Agile methodologies; knowledge of ServiceNow Telco modules; experience with JIRA, Git, Confluence, ITIL, AWS and ServiceNow certifications; technical bachelor’s degree; experience with large system integration, multi-disciplinary technical teams, test automation, and CI/CD.

Security and clearance: Requires US Citizenship; active security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher (e.g., Security+); active DoD Secret clearance.

Location: Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full-time on-site support.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
