**Senior Tax Associate**

**Work Arrangement:** Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and conduct initial reviews of individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns.
- Handle trusts, estate, and gift tax returns; knowledge of estates and trusts is a plus.
- Take on the preparation of more complex tax returns, including consolidations and those with multi-state or international issues.
- Assist with year-end tax planning and quarterly estimates, as well as year-end projections for high net worth individuals.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities such as the IRS and interface with them to gather information for local, state, and federal tax audits.
- Provide oversight, training, and support to interns and staff, fostering open communication with managers and partners.
- Participate in tax research projects on various tax issues and assist with training on related topics.
- Proactively manage project deadlines to ensure timely delivery of work products based on client and management expectations and statutory deadlines. Maintain open communication with managers and partners about task and project status.
- Continuously develop, maintain, and improve knowledge of local, state, and federal tax rules, regulations, and guidance.

**Qualifications:**

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting experience.
- CPA certification.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience with accounting software packages such as QuickBooks, CCH ProSystem Engagement, CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Axcess Document, and CCH Axcess Workstream is a plus.
