Senior Automation Tester in Python Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Automation Tester with expertise in Python to enhance our vibrant team.

In this key position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and dependability of our software applications by creating, maintaining, and executing automated testing protocols. Situated in a cooperative and high-energy setting, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other key players to integrate quality assurance from the outset of the development process. Your specialized knowledge will be crucial in refining our testing methods and boosting the overall quality of our software. This role presents an exciting chance to address complex testing issues and significantly advance our automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, refine, and uphold sophisticated automated testing frameworks and tools
• Develop automated testing scripts for unit, integration, and comprehensive system tests
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to establish testing requirements and create detailed test plans and cases
• Execute both manual and automated tests, accurately documenting and reporting any issues
• Seamlessly integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient deployments
• Perform load, performance, and security tests as dictated by project requirements
• Conduct code reviews of test scripts and guide team members in best coding practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; preference for Master’s degree holders
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing, with a strong emphasis on Python
• Proficient in Python, knowledgeable in NodeJS and Typescript; experienced with frameworks such as pytest, unittest, or jest
• Proficient in utilizing API testing tools like Postman or requests for automation tasks
• Experienced in database testing, especially with NoSQL and Postgres databases, to assess data integrity and performance
• Able to analyze logs and effectively debug testing failures
• Knowledgeable in using Docker for testing within containerized environments
• Experienced with the AWS cloud platform
• Skilled in testing microservices and distributed system architectures
• Fluent in English, maintaining a proficiency level of at least B2
