Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Security Architect Consultant to help enhance the Master e-File (MeF) system in alignment with a forward-thinking architecture. In this critical role, you will be the go-to expert for all security-related decisions, working closely with various stakeholders to improve security measures, manage vulnerabilities, and shape the system's architecture. This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in security architecture, familiarity with federal security standards, and a passion for advancing technology in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and extend security solutions for the Master e-File (MeF) system.
Offer recommendations for securing the migration of MeF applications to containers and the Cloud.
Lead efforts to address security vulnerabilities and develop solutions in response to scanning reports.
Provide guidance on security practices for the Portal hosting MeF applications.
Collaborate with teams and customers to ensure effective security practices are implemented.
Maintain and create necessary contractual deliverables in accordance with IRS guidelines.
Estimate levels of effort for Impact Assessments and Vulnerability Remediation Orders (VROMs).
Advise on the integration of DevSecOps practices within the MeF framework.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
CISSP Certification.
8+ years of experience in developing security architectures for large, complex systems.
Proven leadership in guiding teams of architects and developers.
5+ years of experience designing security architectures for Cloud-based applications.
5+ years of experience with containerized security solutions.
Expertise in:
Security solutions for AWS GovCloud.
Microservices security.
Architecting Spring Boot applications.
Enhancing Portal architecture.
Developing DevSecOps solutions.
Working within Linux environments.
Using CM tools like IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM.
3+ years of experience estimating (V)ROMs in response to requests for new work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing security monitoring solutions.
Familiarity with relational database technologies.
Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 Process Areas.
Experience with Agile Lean methodologies.
Proficiency in Azure and Google Cloud for Government.
Expertise with WebMethods, ESB, API Gateways, Event-Driven Architecture, and Kafka.
Experience with Ping Identity.
