Scrum Master, Digital
The Digital Scrum Master coordinates and coaches software development teams, leveraging scrum methodologies to orchestrate high-performing, self-organizing teams that deliver high-quality work. This position reports to the Sr. Digital Scrum Master, as a part of a core Digital program team who drive projects that directly contribute to Skechers USA's accelerated business growth.
This role empowers teams to be flexible and fully productive during sprints, which drive a variety of projects serving Skechers’ direct-to-consumer business through e-Commerce and digital product development.
The Digital Scrum Master will:
- Establish and optimize agile processes that align with digital best practices
- Develop effective project plans and effectively manage team tasks to ensure timely delivery
- Serve as a key communicator, bridging the gap between development teams and stakeholders
- Empower and coach cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Proactively identify and remove obstacles to maintain project momentum and team productivity
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Manage project scopes, timelines, and sprints using Agile methodologies
- Host retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
- Ensure high-quality deliverables at the end of each sprint
- Coach teams in Scrum methodology and Agile frameworks, guiding them to higher maturity
- Facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution among team members
- Work with product owners to manage backlogs, prioritize features, and handle new requests
- Manage the intake and resolutions of requests and issues using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet
- Partner with production support for timely issue resolution
- Assist product owners in clarifying and prioritizing feature requests on behalf of the developers
- Provide the eCommerce platform team with digital domain expertise and project management support
- Foster a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Digital, Creative, Content, Retail, and Marketing
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as needed
Job Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Digitally savvy with a focus on consumer outcomes
- Bias for action and efficiency
- Ability to simplify and explain complex topics to business stakeholders
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of and/or experience with eCommerce components (payments, third-party integrations, content management, product data feeds, APIs, technical documentation (FSD/ISD/TSD), SEO, QA processes, UAT and Agile release management) highly preferred
Education and Experience
- Foundational experience using agile/Atlassian tools (Jira, Trello, Confluence and similar)
- Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms preferred
- 5+ years in scrum master roles building digital products
- 3+ years experience working in eCommerce projects, ideally in consumer retail
- Scrum, Agile or SAFe education and/or certifications preferred
The salary range for this position is $105,000-$130,000 USD per year.
