Job Description

Our client, a leading building materials manufacturer in downtown Chicago, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a contract role leading a high-visibility, in-flight initiative: the Payroll NextGen Project. This project involves replacing Oracle Payroll and Kronos Workforce Management with ADP Workforce and ADP Workforce Time & Attendance. The project is already underway, and we are seeking someone who can step in and lead with confidence and clarity. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and coordinate the execution of the Payroll NextGen implementation, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, and budget. 

• Manage cross-functional teams using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 

• Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams, ensuring strong communication and alignment. 

• Provide regular updates and maintain an executive presence in meetings with leadership and stakeholders. 

• Ensure effective risk mitigation, change management, and project governance throughout the lifecycle. 

Requirements: 

• Extensive experience in software implementation projects, particularly those involving payroll systems. 

• Strong knowledge of ADP, Oracle Payroll, and Kronos is a plus. 

• Proficiency with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies. 

• Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with executives and cross-functional stakeholders. 

• Must have an active PMP certification. 

• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive decision-making.
