Job Description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor with a background in food manufacturing to join our team in West Seneca, NY!

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations in the areas of Production, Maintenance, and Quality Control, ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and in line with company policies and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Achieve department goals related to production volume, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting development.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet business objectives.
• Communicate any non-compliance issues to the appropriate managers for corrective action.
• Assign job responsibilities to employees and ensure that proper equipment repair and operating techniques are followed.
• Monitor and resolve any issues related to employee morale within the department.
• Maintain employee records, such as time sheets, absences, overtime, and safety documentation.
• Ensure standard operating procedures for job functions are accurate and up to date.
• Oversee the assigned safety program and conduct accident investigations as necessary.
• Manage employee performance, including training, orientation, safety compliance, and discipline.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to improve safety, performance, processes, and costs.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to monitor inventory and control packaging and processing supplies.

What You'll Get:

• Salary: $60k-$80k per year, based on experience.
• Schedule: Primarily 1 st shift, will provide coverage as needed on 2 nd and 3 rd shifts with potential weekend and holiday coverage as required.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED 
• Minimum 1 year of experience and knowledge in food manufacturing
• Minimum 1 year in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in Dairy/Food manufacturing or similar industries.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
• Strong performance evaluation skills and the ability to think analytically
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to show initiative, pride in work, and commitment to the organization.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
