Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a PRACTICE MANAGER to oversee daily operations for the Dothan Dental Clinic. This position would manage all administrative and operational functions associated with a dental practice. To plan, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives and organizational development for area(s) of responsibility. To work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as faculty, physicians and directors to ensure business partnerships are enhanced and all needs are met with an emphasis on quality outcomes. To provide leadership for the operational direction and financial activities for assigned area(s) of responsibility, facilitate strategic planning, and assume responsibility for all clinic budgets. To oversee daily operations for the clinics, both on campus and off campus sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for managing all administrative and operational functions associated with a dental practice. This includes ensuring a smooth and efficient operation, inventory control, personnel management, patient relations, and patient flow.

1. Oversees daily operations for the Dothan Dental Clinic.

2. Acts as a representative for the Dothan Dental Clinic in all administrative matters as directed including, but not limited to, university committees and other liaison roles (with UAB Legal, Accounting, Contracts, HIPAA-UAB, etc).

3. Provides leadership for the operational direction and financial activities for the Dothan Dental Clinic. Facilitates strategic planning for the clinic operations of the Dothan Clinic.

4. Directs all human resources functions such as responsibility for supervision of staff personnel, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, termination, evaluation of employee performance, staff development and training.

5. Performs all functions in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and UAB policies and procedures.

6. Ensures that regulatory requirements for HIPAA and Billing Compliance are achieved at all times.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

(Annual Salary: $63,875 - $103,800)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
