Job Description

As we grow our service area in the Pacific Northwest, we are seeking an Infusion Pharmacist to join our team of experts in Tigard, Oregon.

About Emerging Health

Emerging Health is a pharmacy and infusion center committed to providing patients exceptional experiences and healthcare solutions. We offer private infusion suites at our office in SW Portland, Oregon. Our second office in Eugene opened early 2024 and is allowing us to expand our reach of care to more communities along the coast, in the Willamette Valley and in Southern Oregon. Our home infusion services provide patients the option of receiving care from the comfort of their home.

We are recruiting an Infusion Pharmacist to join our team of health care professionals. As an Infusion Pharmacist , you will be responsible for providing best in class home infusion pharmacy services to patients of the pharmacy.

Job type: Part-time

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Pay range: $62,500-$79,900 annually, depending on experience

Position responsibilities:
  1. Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all job-related interactions.
  2. Ensure that pharmaceuticals are accurately dispensed in accordance with pharmacy protocols and physician orders.
  3. Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that the pharmacy meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement best practices in all pharmacy activities.
  4. Resolve pharmacy patient concerns and complaints and provide pharmacy patient counseling as needed.
  5. Conduct patient profile monitoring as necessary.
  6. Communicate with medical professionals regarding patient status and response to medication, and when necessary to resolve patient issues.
  7. Work in clinical setting onboarding and coordinating ongoing care for patients.
  8. Work in production setting in USP 797 and USP 800 clean rooms and med room.
  9. Maintain current knowledge of home infusion pharmaceutical products.
  10. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply.
  11. Maintain a system of lot and batch numbers that will allow for recall of medication products.
  12. Ensure final product integrity and ultimate patient safety per USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
  13. Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with pharmacy guidelines.
  14. Report product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy.
  15. Supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians and other department personnel.
  16. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  17. Participate in the pharmacys Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
  18. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
  19. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
  20. Participate in membership activities of professional and industry organizations.
  21. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and license requirements.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required skills:
  1. Ability to organize and plan the activities of pharmacy technicians, and to delegate appropriately.
  2. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
  3. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
  4. Pharmacy degree from an accredited college and state licensure in Oregon or other states as business model requires.
  5. At least one to two years of experience in home infusion pharmacy or other applicable setting preferred.
  6. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
  7. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word
  8. processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.

  • Prior experience working in an infusion pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to navigate computer applications.
