Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Project Engineer to provide leadership, management, and engineering oversight to the Port Angeles Project Engineering Office. Located in Clallam County, Port Angeles is a beautiful, scenic city located along the shore of the Straight of Juan de Fuca, and is home to the Olympic National Park. Leading and managing a field office of approximately 25-30 engineers and technicians, the Project Engineer ensures that the best technical standards and cost-effective designs are incorporated into construction contracts and that construction contracts are administered to the expected quality, safety, and stewardship standards. Working on projects, such as the Elwha River Bridge replacement, the successful candidate will provide staff a balanced workplace, which promotes training and development for professional growth and upward mobility, employee safety, workforce diversity, and pride in ownership.
