**This is an Other Personnel Services (OPS) temporary position**

Your Specific Responsibilities:

• Accurately completes and submits all administrative records including, but not limited to: Time sheet and EARs entry within the required time frame, leave request, travel, and monthly and/or weekly reports in a timely manner per Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines as well as the Health Departments policies and deadlines.
• Subject to emergency duty in the event of a natural disaster.
• The incumbent is expected to promote cooperation, courtesy, and teamwork in a diverse environment.
• Reads, understands, and implements directives and other duties as assigned.
• Completion of all mandatory or assigned trainings within the required time frame. Continue education following agency-approved guidelines.
• Attend monthly staff meetings, conferences/workshops as appropriate and take monthly meeting minutes and distribute to all Healthy Start Staff.
• Expected to promote Florida Department of Health in Citrus County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts and its vision to be the healthiest state in the nation. Furthermore, the incumbent is expected to incorporate the agency values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Responsiveness and Excellence in all aspects of their work.
• Paraprofessional work providing basic social services to individuals and families in the Healthy Start Program.
• Has computer access to HMS and Well Family System. Adheres to Confidentiality and Security policies and procedures.
• Collects family information to assist families in needed community resources such as social, medical, education, employment and training, daycare services, and housing.
• Responsible for securing the designated information set for protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access, for all information, both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electronic formats.
• Aid in Case Management to eligible prenatal women, infants, and their families.
• Monitor Healthy Start inventory and organize department educational materials, incentive items, and office supplies. Placing purchases and/or getting quotes from vendors for needed items.
• Entering and maintain prenatal screenings, recording number of records being faxed to Connect.
• Taking correspondence to mail room and checking for incoming mail daily.
• Take tracking sheets over to WIC.
• Provide support for outreach in our community, attending events and/or meeting if necessary and gathering outreach items for events and/or meetings.
• Obtain Car Seat Certification Technician training, assist with car seat inspections and/or installations and well as sponsored events.
• Other duties as assigned.
