Job Description

ChristianaCare is looking to hire a full-time Board-certified/eligible Nuclear Medicine Physician.

The position is a hybrid model that involves both onsite and remote scan interpretation. The successful candidate will join our growing team of collegial full-time dedicated nuclear medicine physicians in the Section of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology. This individual will be involved in a wide variety of general nuclear medicine imaging studies utilizing multiple PET/CT, SPECT/CT, SPECT, and solid-state cameras.

Our nuclear medicine team provides comprehensive PET/CT services including F-18/Ga-68 PSMA, Cu-64/Ga-68 Dotatate, F-18 Fluoroestradiol, and F-18 Amyloid brain as well as general nuclear medicine studies including specialized studies such as whole gut transit, salivary gland imaging, in vivo procedures such as blood volume and renal GFR studies, and DXA scans.

ChristianaCare has a strong emphasis on nuclear cardiology and our physicians interpret a wide variety of nuclear cardiology scans including SPECT and PET/CT stress perfusion, PET/CT cardiac viability, PET/CT cardiac sarcoidosis and amyloid PYP studies. The position does not require monitoring of cardiac stress patients or EKG interpretation.

Our physicians routinely perform multiple treatments including radioligand therapies such as Lu-177 PSMA and Dotatate, liver-directed therapy with both glass and resin Y-90 microspheres, I-131 NaI, and Ra-223 dichloride. ChristianaCare Nuclear Medicine has been designated a Clinical Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.

The group also participates and collaborates in various tumor boards and provides nuclear oncologic consultations as part of multidisciplinary teams at ChristianaCare's Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute, one of a select group of research centers in the country that participate in the National Cancer Institute's Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP).

Job Requirements:

  • Board-Certified/Eligible in nuclear medicine.
  • Currently holding or willing to obtain the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
  • Interested in clinical nuclear medicine including therapies.
  • Clinical experience in interpreting attenuation correction CT scans.
  • Teaching cardiology fellows, interventional radiology fellows, radiology residents, medical students and nuclear medicine technology students.
