Position: MRI Technologist

Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Exeter, NH, 03833

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Varied

Shift Notes: Sat/Sun 7a-7p + 2x8 hr shifts, weekday or evening depending on coverage needs/cases - 40 hrs/week

Weekend Requirements: As scheduled

COVID Vaccination: COVID VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR THIS NEED. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD YOUR TRAVELER IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO BE VACCINATED. UPLOAD VACCINATION CARD/INTENT WITH PROFILE. An initial Vaccination series is required. Exemptions may be approved for religious or medical reasons.

Travel Policy: will not consider anyone who has a permanent address within 50 miles of the Hospital. No locals accepted

At the clinical direction of a Radiologist and the administrative direction of the Director of Imaging perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures with minimum supervision .

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures. Review medical records for patient history and pertinent information.
• Review the requisition with the physician. Explain the procedure to the patient.
• Select the proper technique/protocol to obtain optimal scans.
• Review studies for overall quality.
• Organize daily work schedule and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Perform daily calibration checks on equipment. Alert service to any equipment issues.
• Provide instruction to medical and hospital staff on MRI safety.

Submission Requirements

• 2+ years of CURRENT MRI experience
• MUST have ARRT(MR) - Required
• Proficiency in using Siemens equipment - Preferred
• Associates Degree minimum
• Previous travel experience - Preferred
• TEMP NH MIRT license in effect!!! MUST have an state Imaging license to obtain Temp...non-licensed Imaging Tech will have to apply for the PERM NH MIRT license --- Temporary Licenses | NH Office of Professional Licensure and Certification
• 2 separate supervisory references at submittal & MUST from within the last 3 years of employment. 3 total required during onboarding

Certification Requirements

• ARRT
• BLS (AHA)
• NH License of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
