Duties

This position starts at a salary of $112,015.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $172,075.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $172,075.00 (GS-14 Step 10).

As a Management and Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:

  • Analyzing and developing plans, guidance, and operational strategies that supports the program's efforts to build local and state public health informed targeted violence and terrorism prevention plans.
  • Supporting the planning and coordination of stakeholder engagements, events, and meetings and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
  • Informing programs of relevant intelligence and research evidence and establishing innovative public health approaches to prevent targeted violence and terrorism.
  • Providing program updates of the efficacy to leadership.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

  • Developing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating current or projected complex, interrelated homeland security, targeted violence, violence prevention, and/or public health programs involving governmental and non-governmental organizations from multiple sectors at the community, State, national, and/or international levels.
  • Applying procedures and operations to remedy inefficient processes in areas of strategic engagement, grants management, policy and research, field operations, or education and information sharing.
  • Applying procedures for compliance with policy
  • Gathering facts to develop solutions to problems.
  • Utilizing automated data systems.
