Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with variety in your work? The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Insurance Examiner with experience in accounting, and interpreting financial statements and contracts.
If this is you, then CDI may be the employer for you!Under general direction of Senior Insurance Examiner (Supervisor), the Insurance Examiner analyzes and conducts risk-focused surveillance of licensed entities to ensure their solvency. Reviews applications requiring the Commissioner's approval to ascertain their financial stability and compliance with the California Insurance Code, California Code of Regulations, Department's rules and the standard operating procedures of FAD, to be completed in an accurate and well-organized manner within established guidelines.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
