Job Title: Information Technology - Developer-ETL/Datastage Professional

Location: Hybrid - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (Open to McLean or Plano office from Day 1)
Duration: 6Months

Job Description:

Freddie Mac is seeking a motivated Developer-ETL/Datastage Professional to join the Enterprise BTO department of the Information Technology division. As part of the IT development team, you will design, develop, and enhance software applications using DataStage ETL (11.x) . You will be responsible for implementing software changes, addressing data-related issues, and improving existing processes to ensure stability and efficiency in applications. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with an agile, technology-savvy team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions for new and existing data reporting requirements using DataStage .
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve existing data issues.
• Identify gaps in current processes and provide improvements to enhance efficiency and automation.
• Participate in the analysis of agile user stories, developing solutions based on business requirements, architecture, and prototyping if necessary.
• Perform code changes and improvements to DataStage ETL , Unix jobs , and other relevant components.
• Provide ongoing support to applications in the production environment.
• Strive to constantly improve the application development process and tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science , Engineering , or equivalent working experience.
• At least 3-4 years of experience with DataStage (ETL) , preferably version 11.7, UNIX , shell scripting , Control-M , and DB2/Sybase/Oracle SQL .
• Proficiency with Jira , Bitbucket , and version control tools.
• Strong analytical and development skills for troubleshooting issues and developing effective solutions.
• Ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
• Passion for continuous improvement and ability to innovate while taking calculated risks.
• Experience in all aspects of the system development life cycle including agile methodologies.
• Quick learner of new technologies and tools.
• Excellent customer service , verbal , and written communication skills .

Preferred Skills:

• Working experience with Java and SAS .
• Experience working on agile teams .
• Previous experience in the Mortgage Industry is a plus.
