POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides excellent customer service and HR operations support to internal and external clients. Coordinates new hire onboarding, workers compensation, wellness, and other Human Resources operational responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• With excellent customer service accurately answers all communication to HR Direct Service Center within 1 to 24 hours, researching when necessary.
• Completes new hire data entry process accurately and according to established procedures.
• Meets with new hires of designated companies/departments on first day to verify work authorization, go over new hire paperwork and explain benefits options; demonstrating comprehensive understanding of benefits.
• Provides administrative support to HR Business Partners, HR Specialists and HR Department - backend corrections, benefits outreach, etc.
• Processes Paper transactions that are not automated, including ensuring appropriate approvals, routing and filing as necessary from start to finish.
• Coordinates pre-employment testing program including tracking and communicating results, scheduling appointments, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
• Assists with administration of workers' compensation, term packets, subpoena response preparation and unemployment claims according to documented procedures.
• Acts as liaison for Office Managers at multiple winery locations to share information and processes. In conjunction with supervisor.
• Maintains Process and Procedures folders shared with Office Managers ensuring documents are up to date and procedures are updated if needed.
• Responsible for processing tuition reimbursement program according to parameters.
• Makes sure HR documents are up to date in onboarding system: EDD booklets, brochures, handouts.
• Prepares reports including new hire reports, headcount reports, etc., from HRIS (UKG Pro).
• Working with AP department and according to process submits HR invoices with accuracy.
• Responsible for department mail; send/receive, distribute, package, prepare and track using USPS, FedEx, etc.
• Responsible for general HR Direct clerical duties including copying, scanning, printing, filing electronically and hard copies.
• Maintains DMV Pull Program up to date on spreadsheet. Add/Delete employees on a monthly basis.
• Coordinates annual giving tree, collects gifts and distributes to OM's.
• Assists with various department projects as needed and performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education
• Two to four years direct, relevant experience in Human Resource administration or high touch customer service.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence with a high level of detail and precision.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Fluency in Spanish desired.
WAGE TRANSPARENCY:
The base pay for this role ranges from $25.51 - $30.92 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
