We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive HR Operations Generalist to join our team at our Corporate Office located in Dallas, TX.

Job Summary

This hybrid role blends key human resources functions with payroll administration, compliance oversight (including OSHA and labor union regulations), and learning & development (L&D) support. The ideal candidate is passionate about building strong employee experiences while ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Generalist Functions

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and new hire onboarding.

  • Assist with employee relations issues, performance management, and HR policy compliance.

  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and employee education.

  • Provide administrative HR support for onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle processes.

Payroll Processing

  • Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

  • Address payroll inquiries, correct discrepancies, and ensure employee records are properly maintained in payroll systems.

  • Manage timekeeping systems, track PTO and overtime, and reconcile payroll with accounting teams.

  • Prepare payroll and tax reports for internal and audit purposes.

Compliance (OSHA, Labor Law, and Union Regulations)

  • Ensure organizational adherence to OSHA regulations, including tracking training completion and coordinating audits.

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to workplace safety, employment law, and union regulations.

  • Support HR leadership in labor relations issues, grievance management, and union contract compliance.

  • Stay up to date on labor legislation and coordinate implementation of necessary changes to HR policies.

Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure timely course updates and track employee training completion.

  • Partner with leadership to ensure mandatory and developmental training aligns with OSHA, labor law, and company standards.

  • Assist in development and implementation of e-learning materials and troubleshoot user access issues.

  • Provide compliance reports and training audit documentation to HR leadership and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Hospitality Management, Occupational Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of experience in HR, Payroll or Compliance.

  • OR 5+ years of experience in HR, Payroll or Compliance in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, and payroll tax regulations.

  • Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday) and LMS administration.

  • Recent ADP Workforce Now payroll processing.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR or payroll certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CPP) are a plus.

  • Experience supporting unionized workforces and managing collective bargaining agreements.

  • Familiarity with OSHA training standards and workplace safety program coordination.

  • Previous experience in a high-growth or fast-paced business environment.
