Nanny/Housekeeper – Full-Time or Part-Time – Bronxville, NY

A warm and welcoming family in Bronxville, NY, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household. The family has two delightful children, aged 5 and 8, who attend school until 2:30/2:45 PM. The ideal candidate will have a blend of childcare and housekeeping expertise, a flexible and positive attitude, and a genuine love for children and family life.

Position Details:

• Location: Bronxville, NY
• Schedule Options:
  • Full-Time: 4 or 5 days per week (Tuesday to Friday or Monday to Friday), with flexibility for occasional weekend work.
  • Part-Time: 3 days per week (Wednesday to Friday) with a guaranteed 30-hour pay for those seeking a more flexible schedule.
• Compensation:
  • Full-Time: $1,400/week for 4 days; Additional compensation for extra days or weekend work.
  • Part-Time: Guaranteed pay for 30 hours/week, with potential for additional hours if desired.

Responsibilities:

Childcare:

• Care for children after school, including pick-ups using the family car.
• Assist with homework, engage in activities, and provide a nurturing environment.
• Prepare and serve meals/snacks for the children.
• Supervise evening routines, including bedtime, when mom has evening commitments.

Housekeeping:

• General household cleaning and tidying, ensuring the home is well-maintained.
• Laundry and ironing as needed.
• Organize and declutter common areas.
• Run errands, including grocery shopping and household supply maintenance.

Requirements:

• Must be a confident and capable driver (family car provided).
• Strong housekeeping skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends with advance notice and extra compensation.
• Ability to step in and manage the household when the husband is traveling.
• Kind, nurturing, and reliable, with a proactive attitude.
• Prior experience in a similar role with excellent references.
