We are looking for an underwriter who would like to work in a collaborative environment. The company offers base pay, bonuses, and generous benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Qualifying and underwriting by understanding needs, risk characteristics, loss experience to develop coverage and premium proposals
• Leading negotiations with respect to terms and premiums to handle renewals and attract new business and administering the process
• Responsible for issuing binders, policies, and endorsements
• Fostering positive working relationships with internal and external parties
• Building and maintaining strong broker relationships
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Underwriter in commercial casualty; D&O, EPL, Professional Liability, EPL insurance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• CPCU or similar designation would be considered a big plus 
• Problem-solving, analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication influencing and negotiation skills 
• Service-oriented attitude with interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks
