Job Description

We are a brewhouse bringing the Tipp City community craft beverages and light-fare. We are seeking new members to join our team.

Do you have a love for wine, craft beer and cocktails? Are interested in pairing them with exceptional food? Are you community-minded and believe in a hard day’s work?

The ideal candidate:

• has experience food handling, barista, bartending, deli, and serving;
• has an enthusiastic interest in, and knowledge of all styles of coffee, deli, craft beer, wine, and passion for mixology
• has a strong work ethic and enjoys working as part of a unified team;
• enjoys talking to people from all walks of life and communicates well;
• has good energy, an outgoing attitude, and would be a positive representative
• has full and part-time availability to work weeknights and weekend shifts, as needed.
• All applicants must have an active Serevesafe person in charge certificate or can obtain one if hired at our cost.

This position is a great opportunity for someone with several years of customer service, bartending, and sales experience within the craft beverage industry. Chaffee’s Brewhouse is offering Full/part-time, employment.

Responsibilities

• Serves from a full bar and pairs with deli soups and sandwiches, charcuterie and pastries.
• Keeps kitchen, patio, and bar areas clean and stocked.
• Clearly communicates availability to the supervisor on an ongoing basis, requiring the use of cell phone, email, scheduling app, and the internet.
• Maintains familiarity with Chaffee’s Brewhouse products, product availability, and point-of-sale procedures.
• Maintains familiarity with general coffee, beer and wine industry knowledge.
• Maintains familiarity with coffee, beer, wine and food, pairings.
• Can handle food safely for prepping food.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude with previous barista and or bartending experience.
• Ethical and accurate operation of point-of-sale systems and cash-handling; familiarity with touch screen monitor/notebook use.
• Familiar with how to accurately check IDs of patrons for legal drinking age and ID validity.
• Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining legal, safety, and quality standards.
• Self-motivated with good time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.
• Maintains familiarity with liquor laws and responsible serving practices in Ohio.
• Maintains familiarity of how to use and troubleshoot coffee and beer equipment.
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
• Physical ability to lift and move cases of beer and occasionally half kegs and sixtels.
