Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team! This individual will help to set up and prepare banquet rooms for banquet functions, serve and bus tables as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.

The Banquet Server shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort & Spa Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Hill Country Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must have complete knowledge of service time, menu, and specials for each function
• Service every function according to La Cantera Resort & Spa Service
• Always inquire if additional service is
• Responsible for set-up and breakdown of tables in the meeting rooms according to BEOs and guests’ requests.
• Responsible to learn about the VIPs in each function and their special
• Complete all side duties as
• Must minimize
• Attending all designated staff meetings and training
• Perform all banquet side work as designated by the
• Efficiently and properly perform all service
• Attending to all needs of the guests during functions, paying special attention to diets or any special orders.
• Report to Supervisor any need for cleaning and/or repairs of any equipment or function
• Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability
• Must attend all designated pre-meal
• Responsible for setting up banquet
• Adhere to predefined drink service guidelines and responsible for beverage
• Perform any other duties assigned by
• Maintain a neat and professional
• Ability to open and close the shift
• Must be able to bus tables and re-set them as
• Must know the function menu and be able to describe the items to

Qualifications:

• Completion of TABC Certification
• Completion of Food Handler’s Certification

• Ability to work under pressure to turn a room into a different function in a short time

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

• Ability to handle guest requests and satisfy their needs

• Ability to meet physical pressure, Standing for extended period of time

• Must be able to squat, bend, and reach periodically throughout the shift.

• Flexible working in morning, afternoon, or night-weekends plus holidays
