Responsibilities: As the
AR Billing & Collections Lead/Manager , you will oversee and drive all aspects of the billing and collections process for our ABA and PT services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the AR team, setting priorities and supporting team productivity.
- Lead claim submission, follow-up, appeals, and payment posting workflows.
- Review denied or rejected claims and direct resolution strategies.
- Train, mentor, and coach billing staff to meet individual and team goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and finance teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor aging reports and implement strategies to reduce AR days and improve collections.
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements, HIPAA, and healthcare regulations.
- Track KPIs and provide revenue cycle performance insights to leadership.
Requirements: - Experience: Minimum 4 years of recent AR medical billing and collections experience, including at least 2 years in ABA billing (required).
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Raintree EMR system (strongly preferred).
- Leadership: Prior experience managing or mentoring a billing team.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead with a people-first approach.
- Attention to Detail: Sharp problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and compliance.
